Our Story
The founder of SKIWI SKI SCHOOL became the first Japanese instructor to obtain the highest qualification—the Race Coach Certification—from the New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Alliance in 1981.
New Zealanders are affectionately called “Kiwis.”
The famous fruit is also known as the “kiwi,”
and New Zealand’s iconic flightless national bird shares the same name.
We combined SKI and KIWI to create the playful and memorable name “SKIWI.”
Our logo features a kiwi bird skiing down the slopes—
a charming symbol that represents the spirit of our school.

We are certified professional ski instructors belonging to the SIA (Ski Instructors Association of Japan).
Our goal is to help everyone enjoy snow sports safely and confidently through our lessons.
We strive to be a ski school that international guests can feel comfortable joining with ease.
