Instructors Introduction

About the Name “SKIWI”
The founder of SKIWI SKI SCHOOL became the first Japanese instructor to obtain the highest level race coach qualification from the New Zealand Ski Instructors Alliance in 1981.
In New Zealand, people are affectionately called “Kiwis.”
The famous kiwi fruit is also named after the kiwi, and New Zealand’s iconic flightless bird shares the same name.
Inspired by this unique bird, we created our symbol—a kiwi skiing—and combined SKI with KIWI to form the fun and memorable name “SKIWI.”
